953. Provenance: Baluch tribal, Western Afghanistan

Size: 46 x 35 cm (excluding tassles)

Age: circa 1950

Condition: Good.

Notes: A wonderful and decorative tribal Baluch weaving. I am uncertain whether this would have been a decorative adornment to animals (at a bridal ceremony perhaps?) or as a decoration for inside the yurt (tent).
